Current Activities

We have the honour to invite your kind attention to the fact that Ek Ronga EK Ghuri – EREG has been working for vulnerable children living on the street for many years. Our goal is to achieve a country free of street children and vulnerable people by focusing on rescue, reintegration and referral based activities. For the development of the underprivileged and less fortunate children’s lifestyle, we have initiated School for street children. They are receiving full livelihood facilities and basic rights like formal education, food, shelter, entertainment, sports & games etc. in a friendly atmosphere. Ek Ronga EK Ghuri – EREG is a not for profit, volunteer based development organization founded in 2008. The organization was initiated by a group of social and human rights activists, writer & poets aiming to improve the life of children forced to live in extreme difficult situations on the street and also to address the needs of the growing number of vulnerable street children in Bangladesh.

We have worked with Good Neighbors Bangladesh in the past. We were working to create advocacy and children’s rights awareness on child rights and protection. We have organized national seminars for the creation of a separate child ministry. We have done a Child Rights Situation Analysis under KNH Germany, with children living in the streets Dhaka. In light of which a long-term project was supposed to begin this July, which was stopped due to the Corona virus infection. Recently, a short term project has been completed under which we have delivered health care to about 1800+ people in Brahmanbaria district for the last six months. Along with creating emergency medicine and health awareness. With the help of Japan’s Science Forum 21, there is a project going on with the students studying in science school. Through this, we are making students aware of their rights as well as making them interested in science. We are trying to raise awareness against violence and torture against them.
